The LONDON Project!

HI EVERYONE!!!

We are SO EXCITED to share our 2nd completed project that we had the pleasure of working on this past year (2020/2021). This client was so wonderful to work for, she had a design style already of her own that I loved to use as a jumping off point for the design of her home renovation. She had just purchased this home and was ready to dive into making it her own. Our client was open to all of our suggestions but also new that she wanted to have that wow factor and wasn’t ready to budge on any design elements that made this home renovation so spectacular.

As most of us have experienced, quotes came in higher then what the client originally budgeted for(which isn’t hard to do right now with the supply changes and lumber highs) So the project itself was pushed about 6 months to make time for more money and being fully prepared and it went off like planned January 2021.

My favourite part of this project would have to be the backsplash tile in the kitchen. Its white so its not overbearing BUT it compliments the midcentury modern style we were going for so nicely and with mostly open shelves in the kitchen design you can really see this tile come to life! With a mostly white and neutral kitchen I LOVE the painted black bottom cabinets and island it pops so well and looks so rich with the gold handles.

This kitchen and back entry space that was once two separate spaces was now one large kitchen created by adding the large island in the centre and putting in a beam where the archway used to be. We also used the hardwood flooring through out the whole top floor of the house to create a space that looks cohesive, seamless and larger than it may appear. When a house has too many different types of flooring it cuts the house up creating too many small spaces.

My FAVOURITE part in the living room entry space is the organically laid Hexagon tile it turned out so well and is quite the transformation from what she had there previously. This may have taken a bit of convincing with the contractors but I think they like it as much as the rest of us ;)

We would like to thank our client again for the chance to work on this project with her what a delight!
