The Ridge Project

This Project was going to be a very simple kitchen refresh that turned into a full renovation. Our clients were excited to extent the scope, and open to all of our suggestions on ways to improve their living space to the fullest potential!

We enjoyed designing a new kitchen, opening up their sun room space, and giving their 3 sided fireplace a whole new look!

This space boasted beautiful south facing windows, and 10’ ceilings giving us a great starting point for the beginnings of a beautiful space.

We revamped their entryway, primary bedroom and ensuite, living room, dining room, kitchen and main bathroom.

We then finished off the space with new furniture from city furniture, new decor from urban barn and new custom window coverings from AM Interiors.

Before & after

We renovated the full first floor of this 2 storey suburban home in the heart of Tumbler Ridge…

The client was heavily inspired by classic design elements, and we delivered with finishes like the hickory wood accents in the kitchen area, and wainscoting in the entry way. for some contrast, we added a fresh modern twist in the matte black lighting and cabinet hardware. The new interior took this home from 1990s to a fresh, comfortable, inviting and stylish place to entertain.

With every project there is always design challenges, however that is always what keeps us as designers on our toes, we LOVE a challenge!

Kitchen before - during - and after

Our goal was to create a functional kitchen that also made entertaining easy.

The Ridge Project’s kitchen truly is the heart of the home. Our renovation project not only added much-needed storage but also opened up the floor plan, making it more spacious and perfect for entertaining guests. The 48” x 144” double cabinet island is the star of the show, and happily so! To achieve this, we opted for a light hickory wood finished with natural sheen, this material was also used for the custom hood fan, and display cabinet, This choice not only added a touch of natural beauty but also enhanced the overall ambiance of the space, ensuring that the kitchen becomes a gathering place for family and friends for years to come.

Creating a well-designed and comfortable space involves a mixture of lighting.

When it comes to creating the perfect ambiance, balance is key. An effective way to achieve this balance is by combining natural, task, and ambient lighting.

the decorative lighting we chose for the Ridge Project was intended to bring some contrast to the rooms, and really be the jewelry of the space. We mixed black metal with clear crystal, as well as white and brushed gold shades. It was important to keep the lighting consistent throughout the house.
